creating my gallery wall

Heather and I LOVE gallery walls!  If you happen to visit our Pinterest, you’ll see that one of our favorite boards (or categories) is Gallery Walls.

I love them all!

I love the all black and white on this wall.  Combined with the letters.

the mix of all different kinds of elements on this wall.  This pic. is from Pottery Barn.  I wonder if they sell that awesome looking light above the arrangement?  Love the way it looks.

Or how about this totally eclectic wall?  A mix of a little bit of everything.

I THOUGHT that I wanted kind of a mix of the first and second wall.  ……I thought……..

What I thought I wanted and what looked good were two different things.

I have a looong way to go.  I tried mixing vintage pics with the black, white, and gold.  No go.  I really don’t even like the small colored canvas in the upper left corner.  Also,  I should have bought museum putty to hold my pictures level.

I’m thinking maybe more texture, keep the colors neutral, and just more stuff in general!

What I do LOVE……

…..is my new LOVE pillow!  An early birthday present from Heather.  Thank you thank you Heather!

So…..it’s a work in progress.  And I also see that I need to patch and paint those two big spots on either side.  (OOPS)

More later.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. I love the way you placed the crown above your framed initial, Denise! I am going to do a gallery wall once we are moved into our new place. I'll be incorporating lots of family pictures in mine, but I'm hoping to have a variety of pieces. Kind of like the first and second pictures you show.

  2. Very cute, Denise! I love all the pics you featured especially the second and third ones. Great inspiration! I have a semi-gallery wall in my work room that I was just noticing needs a few more pieces. Need to work on that! Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

  11. Hi Denise,

I like the gallery walls especially what you did over your sofa. I'm afraid the one in the staircase would drive me crazy keeping dust off all that black. I guess I need a housekeeper. {giggles} When I hit the lottery! :0)

    Hugs,
    Stephanie ♥

  13. I think your wall looks better then your inspirations. I like all the neutral frames and letters and of course the crown.
I've bee struggling with my foyer wall. Painted all frames white then decided I need them to be black.
That foyer is going to be the death of me.

  14. Thanks so very much for trying to link up this post! I tried to link it up too but it wouldn't work for me either because there isn't a link back to my blog in your blog. If you have time to make a link that would be great but please don't worry as I know how time consuming it is. I really appreciate your time!

    Best wishes,
