Rewind…..

….to before vacation.  It always happens when you LEAST need to be spending money.  Finding something that you just HAVE to have.  Okay, okay…..not HAVE but WANT to have. 

“Don’t spend  any money!”  Hubby said.  “We’re saving for vacation.”  That means no magazines, new books, clothes, craft supplies.  For SURE don’t go anywhere near Target.  I’m such a spending addict.  It doesn’t have to be much, even new lipstick fills the void (temporarily.)

But….there she was………………….

In all of her vintage goodness.  Just teasing and beckoning.  I tried to resist.  Really I did!  Promise!  Pinky swear!  I walked by her several times.  Trying to talk myself out of buying her. 

Then I began imagining what she could look like.

That did it.  I caved.

My new baby.  I love you sooo.

But you need a hat I think.

Come on Willow.  You’re never impressed with anything I do!  The least you could do is pose pretty like some of the other blog kitties.  Ungrateful little fur baby!

Home Again!

WOW!  What a long long vacation this has been.  Sixteen days long.  I’m such a major homebody that it was a little too long for me.  I had every intention of blogging while I was away.  At least once or twice.  Second day out…..my laptop hard drive crashed.  I couldn’t believe it!  I just bought it last November!  I think I have everything but about the last month backed up on the external hard drive.  We’ll see.  All I can say is if there were ever a doubt that I am addicted to blogging, sixteen days without a computer certainly confirmed it!  :)  I missed reading all of the news out there and all of the fantastic ideas that I find on a weekly basis.

On to Yellowstone National Park.  Grandson rode in on the Harley with his PaPa.  A great thrill for a twelve year old boy!

This is String Lake.  The most beautiful place on earth for me.  A perfect view of the Tetons and so peaceful and perfect.

So……just pack me up and send me back to the mountains!  It’s where I belong.   Happy to be back among all of my “stuff” though!  Some fun finds and a great little shop in Red Lodge Montana to come later!

Heading for a much needed break tomorrow.

Which will be a bittersweet journey because it also involves family obligations.  A very sad obligation for my brother and I and our families.

However, Hubby and I will be spending a blissful week alone before we meet up with the rest of the family.

We had planned a short trip in June but were rained out.  Being the crazy Harley riders that we are!

Hope that ALL of you are having a blissful summer.

I’ll try to blog from the road, but hope that I’m having too wonderful of a time to even think about it!
