Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the colors and of course the cool crisp air.
Welcome to Bella Manor and Common Ground’s PORCH PARTY. Debra has the most delightful and clever ideas, don’t you agree?
My mother always used to say that people’s first impression of you when they visited your home was your front porch. Hers was always swept clean and decorated. I failed miserably in that department this summer.
I love my chippy vintage blue settee that sweet Hubby gave me for mother’s day.
A Fall/Halloween pillow. The flower is just pinned on so it can be removed after Halloween. I just couldn’t resist the black!
My Raven.
I didn’t have an Edgar Allen Poe book.
But I did have Edgar A. Guest! HA! ":)
Sorry, they’re not real. I was afraid to put too much weight in my little basket. I do love the little velvet pepper though.
My galvanized bucket. These pumpkins ARE real.
I used some little terra cotta pots for filler.
These pics. don’t do these pretty snapdragons justice. They almost glow orange and hot pink.
My porch is on the North side of the house, so nothing real will grow. Thus the silk flowers.
I just had to show you this.
My crazy pumpkin vine. A volunteer that appeared late this summer. I’m sure I won’t have a single pumpkin this late in the year. Too bad, look at all the blooms.
And they would have been from pumpkins just like this little guy.
Well…..without the face anyway! :)
Hope you enjoyed your tour.
I’m off to do some visiting of my own.
Denise

lol - we know what you mean about your mom & her porch...our mom's the same way!! Guess we don't use our front porch for ourselves too often...sometimes I walk out on mine to greet someone at the door & think...well, I think why haven't I been out to sweep it (fall is the time the squirls "have at it" with my planters & pumpkins....which means that dirt & pumpkin guts are ALL over!!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Love the porch - you're mom would be proud!! (Especially love that flower on that pillow!)
Have a great weekend!
Karla & Karrie
The porch looks great. Love all the pumpkins and such in the wall basket.
