Merry Christmas!!!

Here’s hoping that you are all having a wonderful day!  I know that most of you girls are busy busy today and won’t be getting online but I just HAD HAD to post THIS!!

O.M.G.!!  I have the best the most wonderful daughter in the whole entire world.  She made something just for her Mommy for Christmas.

Have you ever gotten one of those wonderful things that is just so yummy that you can only gasp when you first see it?

I had wanted a “something” similar to this that I had seen online but it was outrageously expensive.   Okay okay……here it is!

The little doggie is vintage.  She sacrificed one of her favorites for my box!

005

004

Doesn’t he have the cutest face ever!

006

Look at the super cute papers and ribbons that she used on the box!

007

She even papered the inside with pages from an old book!

I can’t even use enough exclamation marks to express my excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this will be staying out year round.  Oh you bet ya!

So…….are you girls ready for another craft night in January?  Heather and I sure are.  We’re thinking that the boxes would be a perfect project.  I know that December turned out to be inconvenient for some due to other obligations.  Hopefully January will be better for everyone.  E-mail me!  You know “the drill!”

Merry Christmas to Everyone!

Denise

  2. Oh my goodness, Denise!!!! That is so beautiful...I'd say your daughter is well on her way to a mixed media/assemblage future..what an eye she has for putting all the elements together.

I would be as excited as you...I know it will have a special place in your home so you see it every day. :0)

Have a lovely day and be sure to visit me tomorrow for PiNk Saturday..It's just Thomas and I these days and...he's gone so much that now that we have two weeks of time we have been painting! Oh, it looks so good!

  4. Hey Denise,

Seriously, we are looking into buying a cabin for an investment since rentals are always in demand in the Smokies...and I'm only 5 miles from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. But a Bed & Breakfast would be so neat to own, wouldn't it?! We could decorate each room with a different theme..that would be fun. :0)

I had to laugh when I noticed in your profile that "Under the Tuscan Sun" is one of your favorite movies...mine too! I don't know how many times I've watched it..it such a good story. :0) And I really like Diane Lane.

    Stay Warm,
    Stephanie
