Christmas?

This is the extent of my decorating so far.  Not a brag (for sure) more like a confession.  All of my Christmas decorations are in the long low closet under the stairs, which seemed like a wonderful idea earlier in the year.  Now when I open the door, I just groan and close it.

I do love my dining room table though.

I’ve noticed that lots of people are doing a more simplistic back to nature look this year.  So far, my décor is VERY simplistic! Smile

The burlap is the remaining ruffle material from my curtains I just made.

She’s beautiful any time of the year.  I just tucked a glittered leaf in her hand.

I have every intention of filling in my hutch with bottle brush trees.

Dried hydrangeas with a little simple glitter.

From the living room.  It’s a start.

In the meantime, I’m living vicariously through all of the wonderful blog parties out there!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Denise

  3. Definitely, just go the natural, simple route, Denise! I think it's less stress on us to decorate too. I'm looking forward to seeing your bottlebrush trees in your hutch. I bleached some this year and I am hooked on them! I had to laugh at your comment, re the "sneezing". : )

  5. You have a gorgeous winter table....without the in your face red and green....you'll be able to ease into Spring without the hassle of pushing all that stuff back into the low closet...haha!

You just have such an eye for beautiful vignettes :)

  6. I've been a slow one too Denise. I took my time putting out the decor this year. I never do a ton, but this year did even less.
I love your table too. Such a beautiful centerpiece.
