Another Successful Workshop and Some Yummy Barbeque

We had a wonderful workshop Saturday!  It’s always soooo much fun for us to see what people bring to paint and how their tastes run.  We had a whopping twelve people this weekend!  WOW!  Fun fun!  Fortunately we had some extra help this time and things went smoothly.  I didn’t get many pics. but here are a few of the wonderful finished pieces.

This fabulous vintage chest!  LOVE the different knobs on all of the drawers.  There’s still one missing on the top left.  She’s hoping they have the little blingy knobs back in at Hobby Lobby.  Sorry…..no before pics.  but this chest was an ugly stained piece that had definitely seen better days.

Such a cute end table.  And look how those center woven surfaces turned out!  Perfection!

Another vintage cutie.  Look closely at all of the different colors peeking through.  Love Love!

And what could be better than to have Hubby call late in the afternoon and announce that he’s “fixin” his oh so yummo barbeque pork ribs.

Delicious!  And here’s his easy peasy recipe.  Remove most of the fat and outer skin.  Then a dry rub…

Of Cain’s barbecue spice.  Let sit in the fridge for about 1 hour.  Then cook with an indirect heat method on the Webber grill.  The old fashioned way.  Serve with Pine Ridge Barbecue dipping sauce.  Pretty much the best ribs you have ever put in your mouth!

The perfect end to a perfect Saturday!  Hope your weekend was wonderful!
