There’s a fine line between fun and eclectic and well….just WRONG.
Unfortunately, I felt like I had crossed that fine line. I just wasn’t happy with my family room. It just felt like a mixed up mess.
So…..I’ve been working on it off and on for the last few weeks as time allowed.
2009 family room. The slips were dated and worn out.
Last year. I was sure I had it right.
Lamp before.
Floor lamp before.
Rug before
And now…..
Rug from Ikea. Coffee table by Miss Heather.
Spray paint and fabric transformed my lamps.
Repainted most of the frames making the stag picture, painted by (of course) Miss Heather the focal point of the wall.
Love my stag picture! And my stag pillow!
New pillows on the sofa. The mantel stayed much the same. I just added a little more black and white.
Cute ceramic pumpkins from Dollar Tree
Tiny television area. I’ve never shown it before because of the taxidermy issue. I know it offends some people. But the fact is, he lives here.
So….still eclectic, colorful, and fun. But much more cohesive with lots of black and white and pops of color. Next project may be to repaint the T.V. stand. I might just rather have cream instead of the green.
Have a happy weekend!
Denise
Very colorful and vibrant. Lots of energy in this reveal! Well done.

Love how the pillows go so well with the coffee table, Denise! Was that on purpose or one of those happy accidents? : )
