Do you ever have one of those nights? The one where you wake up at 4:00am and just can’t fall asleep again?
You lay in bed and think about……just stupid stuff. Not worrying, just thinking.
Your head feels as though thoughts are whirling and whirling around with nowhere to go.
And it seems as though if you could see what is in your head…..it would look something like THIS.
WOW! No wonder you can’t sleep!
I had one of those nights last night. Fortunately I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn and go to work. I remember when I did. It only made the night worse. You would look at the clock every five minutes and count how much sleep you would get if……you fell asleep instantly.
So how do you stop thinking? How do you turn it off?
I think I can safely throw out the gold fish and the bat! Okay, maybe not the bat. The old saying “she has bats in her belfry” may apply to me. I’m pretty goofy sometimes.
How about warm milk? YUK! That just sounds horrible. I’ve never tried it and never intend to.
A nice bubble bath! Yummy!
I would love a tub like this one.
Where you can just lay back and soak in a bubble bath scented with lavender or roses…….
Grab your fluffy towel and get all warm and cozy after your nice long leisurely soak, then walk into the perfect bedroom……..
What is your idea of a perfect bedroom?
Would it be this.
This one is a little too stark. It almost looks institutional to me.
Better.
Yummy. I love the mirror for the headboard.
Inviting!
Wonderful!
Which one, if any, is your favorite?
All photographs from COUNTRY LIVING.
If you haven't seen it already, you need to go to the Country Living web site and take a look see at the home that the last bedroom is in. They have a video tour of the home. AND…..it’s a double wide mobile home. You won’t believe it!
So go on now! Tonight you take a bubble bath and climb into a fluffy warm bed with sweet smelling sheets and sleeeeep! ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

I haven't had a good nite's sleep all week. I feel like I spend more time trying to sleep than actually sleeping. We get up at 6 am and head out to school by 7 am. Ugh! Some days I just want to stay in bed all day. I like bedroom number three! Every nite I take a bath and I put lavender scented lotion on my hands -- but it doesn't help when you are a light sleeper and your husband snores every single nite when he didn't for so many years. :/ Let's hope we both get some sleep tonite. Have a great day! :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteI am definitely ready now for that bubble bath and a good nights' sleep! Beautiful pics! Now I wish I had that tub. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get back to sleep!!

Oh, yeah, I've had many of those nights!! Having one right now, LOL, been up since 2:30 thanks to Kodak who needed to go out potty. He feel right back asleep, NOT me!!
ReplyDelete((Hugs))
Ooh my I love the last three pictures. And I know exactly what you mean about not being able to fall asleep at sometimes...Sometimes ideas come storming in the middle of the night and I have to write them down so I don't forget.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love them all, it must all that white and cream!!! Hmmmm, I think now I will dream of bedrooms....... I sometimes have to get up and draw pictures or write down ideas in the middle of the night!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Oh yes, once in a while I have those kind of nights! I think everyone does at some time or another...for no reason, we are bird eyed and watching the clock. It's crazy!
ReplyDeleteIn the evenings lately, I've gotten to where I love to drink vanilla, chamomile, honey tea...always relaxes me and I usually get tired before I finish up the cup...I have even fallen asleep on the couch sitting up... holding the cup still, (ha ha) don't know if that's really a good thing or not (haha), but anyway, the best part is I can pick up my tea at Walmart, because it's made by Celestial Seasonings. By the way...if I could choose a bedroom from those you have shared, I think I'd pick the bedroom with the mirrored headboard...that's gorgeous! I love the one in the last pics too, I remember that article from Country Living Magazine and I loved it because I live in a manufactured home too!
Hoping you have a wonderful week...thanks for the great post! Get you some of that tea....
Big hugs,
Queenie
I have the same problem this week, I can't sleep unti 2:00-3:00am every night, I think of so many things and then start worrying and then I try to count sheep and make lists and then I just think of something else like finding work, the interview I have coming up, what the future holds, those who have passed away, its awful so now I have started to read when I can't sleep as it takes my mind of all of these other things, hopefully I will start sleeping earlier soon. Oh I really like the country cottage bedroom with the rugs, it's so cosy looking and warm too :) I'd love some tea too :)
ReplyDeleteAll things nice...
I'm sorry you didn't sleep well last night. I usually don't have that problem. My problem comes in the form of a big dumb ol' husband (love him) who SNORES!!!! I can't remember the last time I slept all the way through the night!
ReplyDeleteI love the second to the last bedroom, although I could only have that room if I was single!!!! (Which if the snoring doesn't stop....could be soon! (just kidding)
Have a GREAT DAY!

Denise amor, I hope you have finally gotten some good sleep :) As for me...well here it is midnight and I will probably be up another 2 hours or so per my usual lol I love all these pictures, but as far as the bedrooms go, while they are all lovely...I absolutely love the 4th one, I love the look of luxury and opulance yet not over done and snobbish :) but that 5th one I would love for a guestroom..I really wanna know how you get bed skirts to hang that long...I love it. Thank you for sharing all these with us :) Besos, Rose
ReplyDeleteFortunately I am retired but remember those nights. I would look at the clock and count how many hours there are left until the alarm goes off. Then... just as sleep arrived, so did the alarm. Now, I still get up early to take my granddaughter to school but if I miss a little sleep, I can catch up with a tiny nap:) I like bright bedding, mine is red! I think my pick of the ones pictured would be the one with the mirror. Enjoy your evening and sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteI really like 3,4 and 5. I think 4 is my first choice though.
ReplyDeleteI have a very cozy, calm bedroom. There are feather pillows,a feather bed a warm soft bedspread and a lovely duvet. Let me tell ya I still toss in turn at night. It seems I'll fall fast asleep right away because I only got 4 hours sleep the night before. Then after a few hours it's enough to start the whole blasted routine all over again! I get worked up because I'm worried, or there's a new project I'm thinking about or just stupid stuff.
Thanks for bring up the institutional look. I thought I was alone feeling like that. I know it's the in look but some rooms are just cold and boring to me. How many white rooms can a person look at? It reminds me of how hospitals looked when I was a kid. Then they realized it was very unsettling to people and brought in calming colors. OK, my vent. I must need a good night sleep haha.

happens to me ALL the time...one of those yummy beds may be the answer.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't turn any of those down! They look like the types of rooms my hubby and I stay in (bed and breakfasts) for our anniversary.
ReplyDeleteNothing like sleeping in a beautiful bedroom to make you feel like a princess!

Bien dodo!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog!!! I had a similar sleepless night last night. Those rooms are all dreamy to me.
ReplyDeleteHugs!

I am just thrilled when I sleep through the night! I've not been sleeping well lately and even though I don't have to go to work anymore, it's still annoying. I'm just a person that requires a solid 6-8 hrs of sleep. It was very difficult when working.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the 4th bedroom with the mirrored headboard. Now that is class! :-) Thanks so much for sharing the pics.
I hope you feel better soon and sleep well.
I loved the idea of the beauty case filled with towels and bath & body lotions! I found an amazing beauty case in my travels! not sure what i am going to use it, thank you for the inspiration!! your blog is awesome! xo
