Our DIY wedding-Part 3

I wish I had seen these pics. before the wedding.  What a wonderful way to cover a table.

Gathered with brooches.  Crooked too!  I love it!  And wouldn’t something similar to this be beautiful draped over a piano.

Isn’t it wonderful when you just happen to stumble on a great idea?

That happened with these little table decorations that we used at the wedding.

Heather found these petite coffee cups at a garage sale a couple of years ago.  Sometimes if you just hang on to something long enough, you find the perfect use for it. :)

We had purchased a bunch of flower six packs.  Mostly for the hot pink color, thinking that we would probably plant them in a large pot together.  But I really wanted to use these little cups.  In fact, I had already used one as the base for the cake topper.   I had a scrap of burlap laying on the table and stuck it in the bottom of one of the cups, thinking to use it as filler.  Then stuck some shredded paper in around that and plopped in a single flower. I covered the soil on top with shredded paper and put my little digital image on the bamboo skewer in.  Super easy!

I think these would be so cute at a dinner party.  You could put one in the middle of each dinner plate with each persons name.  Buy your cups at garage sales like we did, and you could send your guests home with a cute little gift!  For cheap cheap!

The best part is…….just pop it out of the cup and it’s ready to plant!

Didn’t even make a mess!

  2. Yes what a great idea that is to put a little flower in a cup for your guest to take home to plant themselves. Love it. I'll have to remember that. What a great idea that would be for like a tea party. Thanks you to for the visit to my blog.

I missed the one's about the bouquets and I have to tell you they are adorable! I love that you made the flowers and I love the vintage brooches that you used. This was one creative wedding! It is definitely magazine worthy!

  8. That table covering is very cool, it would have made a nice wedding display but you guys did such a great job with the wedding, I can't imagine much more that would have made it better. Wish I could have seen it all in person, but alas, I'll just have to reconcile myself to seeing your wonderful pictures. Have a great week!
