About Autumn……

Will it EVER arrive here?  It’s in the low 90’s again today.  Maybe a  little Fall decorating will at least set the mood.

I picked up a couple of sweet little pitchers recently.

Love love this one.  All cracked crackled and brown.  Totally useless really but so cute.  And only $5.00!

Cute!

This  pitcher I couldn’t resist.

Yummy……brown transfer ware!

It looks wonderful with my other two pitchers.

Actually, my hutch is one of my favorite places to create vignettes of late.

I had thought about changing everything to black and cream for Halloween, but I’m really enjoying the brown and cream!  Maybe I’ll just add a little orange……..

  2. LOL, I hear ya! I'm in San Antonio, Texas and it's in the 90's here. I went to Hobby Lobby over the weekend to get Fall decor iteams. I plan on turning down the A/C and pretending it's cold. I LOVE the brown and those pitchers are gorgeous!

  3. It looks so pretty Denise. I love the brown and cream, especially for fall. We're still having hot weather too. It still feels like summer. Maybe if I get some fall decorating done, I'll start to feel like autumn is arriving.

  4. Gosh this is gorgeous Denise! I adore your little pitchers. Yes, I really love the brown and white and all your pretty vignettes in your lovely hutch.
I would think it would be almost impossible to get in the mood to decorate for Fall in the 90's, but girl, you made me proud!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Hi Denise,

Today in our little local newspaper the headline read "Sevier County recorded the hottest temps on record this summer".

Our next 10 day forcast is finally showing some low to mid 70's during the day and we'll have a few nights in the 40's. It's about time! Good grief it's been a sizzler. Last summer it never went over 84 degrees on my porch.

I hope you will start cooling off soon too. I love how you use this cupboard as {photography central} It's such a great piece. I have so few walls in the great room due to all the windows I had put in that I'm really short of places for displaying much.

I love the pitchers and I love, love the bowl full of sewing notions. ♥

I've just posted about a few more furniture transformation if you'd like to come see.

Thanks so much for visiting with me...and yes, I think things would be flying on a regular basis if you and I were able to collaborate!

    Happy Day to You,
    Stephanie ♥

Thanks for sharing. And I feel your pain about WHEN WILL IT FEEL LIKE FALL!!!! It's still so blasted hot here in Texas I can't stand it! Charlene

I think your transfer ware is gorgeous. I was just thinking the other day about starting a collection. As if I need another thing to collect! LOL!
I love looking at everything in your cupboard and I'm going back and look again.

  14. Love the brown transfer ware. That's a nice change for Halloween. It's nice to see another mother/daughter team. Come and visit our blog if you would like. We love vintage clothing and vintage jewelry. My daughter and I make upcycled jewelry together. Right now I am getting some swaps ready and there are pictures of Prague and Croatia. We leave on Monday and are here for our exchange student son's wedding!
