A Collection In The Making?

As I mentioned in a previous post, Heather and I have been conspiring to create a furniture and sewn collection for boys.  After seeing the first pillow that I completed…..

The race was on!

Here’s the piece that Heather painted…..

How perfect is this chest?  She took a more modern piece and gave it a bit of a modern geographic pattern!

The entire piece is done in  Maison Blanche paint which we carry!

I’ve seen lots of people painting with chalk paint, but I think they’re underestimating the scope of its uses.  Pattern is a very hot trend right now, and how much easier to complete a DIY project when you’re using a wonderful paint like Maison Blanche.  No worrying about prep, so you can just concentrate on alllll that pattern…….and the finished piece is gorgeous!

Here are the colors that she used……

Base color…..Wrought Iron

Pattern……Pecan, Robin’s Egg, and the beautiful orange is called Cayenne.

A perfect match for the pillows that I’m making.  Or WILL be making!  Looks like I better get busy!

Knobs still to come.  We’re thinking just solid black.  Aahhh…..who’s that in the bottom left hand corner?  Why it’s Miss Bella!  Heather’s tiny one-eyed Chi Chi and this blog’s name sake!

And one last look.  New designs coming this next week!

Have a fabulous weekend!  I gotta go WORK!
