I’ve finally been given permission to “spill the beans” as it were.
I’ve been keeping a secret you see!
I first mentioned it HERE. I could see the writing on the wall. There had been lots of giggling, and flushed cheeks, and happy smiles.
And now it’s official.
Can you guess what it is?
It won’t be what you would typically expect. After all, we AREN’T your typical girls!
Our tastes tend to gravitate toward the less than typical. But the plans are beginning to take form.
We’re inspired by nature and all things natural.
Using every day objects in unusual ways.
Have I given you enough hints?
No?………
Who said there must be cake? Maybe there will be pie!
Or cupcakes!
The bouquet will be made of vintage brooches.
Yep! That’s right! Heather is getting married! The end of May.
They met on…..get this……Match.com! Who knew that stuff really worked!
He’s 36 and NEVER BEEN MARRIED! That’s so weird these days. I didn’t know men like that still existed.
We found the perfect place for the ceremony just today. A barn. She wants a rustic, shabby chic wedding. A friend of ours lives out in the country and when we approached her about our plans she didn’t even hesitate a second before saying “yes!”
T-Man is thrilled to death and as happy as Heather is. All is good and we’re planning and planning.
All of the images above are from the most super fantastic wedding site I have ever found. I would urge you to visit even if you don’t have future plans. The photos and ideas are just wonderful.
So be sure and visit Green Wedding Shoes blog.
Have a happy week!
Denise

Denise amor, Congratutlations to Heather and to you my sweet friend for keeping that secret as long as you did...I think I would have burst lol You I always thought you were really young too, like 1/2 my age but then when I realized you were Heathers mama, I thought how awsome is that she is closer to my age...no wonder we get each other :) I turned 42 Monday and I was having a hard time dealing with that but seeing what you said about age and what so many lovely ladies commented to me about aging made me feel so much better...and like one of the ladies said...if things get really bad..theres always botox lol now that made me laugh...I am scared to death of needles :) Besos, Rose
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful is that? Congrats Heather!! Can't wait to see all of this unfold!!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh Denise how WONDERFUL!!! And what a super start to your 2010 hun. Sending you lots of hugs and congratulations! Look forward to following all your planning here. Mandy xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Heather! How exciting to plan a wedding - and non-typical sounds like more fun. My wedding took place on the front lawn and my fiancé used his weed eater to carve hearts in the grass.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to everyone! It is so exciting! My son is marrying a precious young lady in August, and we've been "full speed ahead" too, for months! Joy (Auntie's... a day in the life) is our official wedding planner, and it will be in Estes Park, Colorado! We've got a busy few months ahead of us, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sheila
Eeeeeeeeek! Congratulations!! How exciting is this?
